Referral information

Acute cases / emergencies

Acute cases may be referred for inpatient or outpatient treatment at any time through our central emergency admission unit.

Phone: 04488 / 50 - 6990
Staff on duty: 0:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (24 hours)

In many cases, an advance phone call will be helpful to discuss important background information. For this purpose, referring physicians may contact the outpatient clinic physicians on duty from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on working days. Outside our core hours, we may be reached through the central emergency admission unit.

Inpatient treatment

Reception of inpatients on short notice

If there is an acute case requiring inpatient reception within the next few days, it is always possible to arrange for a reception date with the outpatient clinic by phone.

Inpatient reception for plannable (elective) receptions / outpatient consulting hours.

Patients who do not suffer from an acute disorder will be cared for during outpatient consulting hours. Here, pre-examinations are conducted and the required diagnosis is determined; a reception date will be agreed on with the patient. Reception dates are set in a timely fashion and will always allow for the wishes of our patients.

In addition to general consulting hours, we offer various special consulting hours. Details, points of contact and further information are provided on the following pages:

Outpatient care

In addition to the hospital departments which have medical specialist service sections (outpatient clinics) there are other medical specialist service sections.

Treatment of private patients

All medical specialties of our hospital offer private consulting hours. On the right – under DOWNLOAD – you find a list of all physicians, including their specialties and consulting hours, who are entitled to Privatliquidation (private patient invoicing; i.e. to treat and invoice private patients). Inpatient treatment of private patients is possible at any time.

Treatment of patients covered by statutory health insurance

As far as outpatient treatment is concerned, our options for examining and treating patients insured under the statutory health insurance scheme are restricted by law. Please contact us before you make an appointment so that we can clarify whether your statutory health insurance carrier will cover the cost.

As for pain therapy, we are accredited to treat patients covered by statutory health insurance. For the other medical specialties it has proved helpful to advise patients during pre-inpatient treatment and to initiate further diagnostics as required. Please provide your patients with a referral form for inpatient hospital treatment. See the pages of the specialty departments for differing provisions, if any.

Treatment of patients covered by employers’ liability insurance

Our hospital is accredited as an accident insurance consultant. We have the required automated communication link to the Deutsche Gesetzliche Unfallversicherung (German statutory accident insurance).
